An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established commercial interiors contractor specialising in hospitality and leisure fit-out projects across the UK.

You will take responsibility for the commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring strong cost control, accurate forecasting and profitable project outcomes. Projects range from small works schemes through to major fit-out and refurbishment projects valued at up to £3 million, offering excellent variety across pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and leisure venues.

Joining an established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality interior fit-out projects, you will work closely with the commercial and operational teams to manage projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will take ownership of the commercial management of live projects, ensuring cost control, accurate forecasting and strong financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Working on pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and leisure projects nationwide, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on budget and commercially managed effectively from initial award through to final account settlement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing project costs from inception through to final account
  • Preparing valuations, variations and applications for payment
  • Producing cost reports and financial forecasts
  • Monitoring project performance and profitability
  • Procuring subcontractor and supplier packages
  • Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Negotiating subcontractor accounts and final settlements
  • Producing take-offs, estimates and cost plans where required
  • Supporting project delivery teams with commercial and contractual matters
  • Building and maintaining strong client and supplier relationships
  • Ensuring robust cost control across multiple live projects
About You

To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in hospitality and leisure fit-out or a closely related interiors-based construction environment. You will already be operating within a contractor or specialist subcontractor environment, with direct experience delivering commercial or fit-out projects such as pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels or similar leisure schemes.

You will be confident managing multiple projects, with strong commercial awareness and the ability to take ownership of both financial performance and client relationships.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Strong commercial management experience across live projects
  • Experience within hospitality, leisure or interior fit-out construction environments
  • Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Exposure to estimating or tendering (advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of procurement and subcontractor management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational and analytical abilities
  • Proactive and commercially driven approach
  • Relevant construction or Quantity Surveying qualification beneficial but not essential
