Roger Parry & Partners has an excellent opportunity for a qualified Planning Consultant to join our busy Planning team at our Head Office in Bicton, Shrewsbury. Working alongside the firm's Planning Consultants, you will be involved in a range of rural and urban projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals.
- Collect, analyse and record data relating to the progress of planning permission applications.
- Research planning legislation and relevant policies.
- Prepare reports for internal and external use.
- Attend meetings and take minutes where required.
- Negotiate amendments to proposed plans.
- Prepare, revise and interpret maps and technical drawings.
- Check plans and documentation to ensure they meet statutory and technical requirements.
- Respond to queries during the planning application and appeals process.
- Manage planning applications and liaise with planning officers, architects and external consultants.
- Raise client invoices and assist with aged debt collection where required.
Requirements
- Applicants must have relevant planning experience and excellent communication, telephone and IT skills, together with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment.
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
