We have a well-equipped modern workshop and are in need of a Service Technician (Mechanic) to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and servicing a wide variety of vehicles, maintaining the high standard of workmanship our customers have come to rely on. This role offers an excellent opportunity to use your technical expertise in a fast-paced yet supportive working environment.
Please note: this position is only open to applicants with a minimum of five years experience within a garage environment.
Duties- Mechanical knowledge to accurately identify issues.
- Perform repairs and servicing on a range of vehicles including cars, vans and motorhomes.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed and accurate job card records of all work completed and parts used.
- If necessary, provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining the repair process and answering any customer queries professionally.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.
- A minimum of five years proven experience in automotive repair or a closely related field (essential).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and vehicle assembly processes is an advantage.
- Proficiency with maintenance procedures and technical know-how is a must.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and repair techniques is highly desirable (but not essential).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Physical fitness suitable for heavy lifting and working in varied workshop conditions.
