This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Factory Officer to join a thriving organisation where quality, compliance and operational excellence are at the heart of everything they do.

The successful Factory Officer will play a key role in supporting quality assurance, quality control, food safety and compliance activities across the manufacturing operation. Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, the Factory Officer will combine quality assurance responsibilities with analytics and reporting, helping to identify trends, investigate issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct inspections, audits and compliance checks to ensure products meet customer, regulatory and company standards.
  • Support food safety systems, HACCP procedures, GMP requirements and quality management systems.
  • Analyse quality, production and performance data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and quality issues using root cause analysis techniques.
  • Implement and monitor corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to reduce recurring issues.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation, records and compliance reports.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness across the site.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Operations and Technical teams to promote best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement projects and manufacturing compliance initiatives.

To be considered for this Factory Officer opportunity, candidates should have previous experience within food manufacturing, manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control or compliance environments. The ideal Factory Officer will demonstrate strong analytical skills and be confident interpreting data, producing reports and identifying trends that support operational performance and quality improvements. You will possess excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. Experience of quality systems, auditing, HACCP, GMP, food safety standards, CAPA processes and root cause analysis would be highly advantageous. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build positive working relationships across multiple departments and influence continuous improvement activities throughout the business.
