Reporting to Head Groundsperson

Full Time Contract 40 hours a week including weekends & overtime

Salary: £30,500 – 34,500

Job Purpose: Based on a 40 hour working week and weekends on a rota basis. To assist in the daily operations of our skilled Grounds team, helping to ensure the sports facilities are presented and maintained to a consistently high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake daily surface maintenance and preparation of the facilities, skillfully operating pedestrian and ride on machinery to maintain the sports surfaces to the best possible standards of presentation.
  • To be able to work on your own as well as part of a team.
  • To actively contribute to departmental meetings.
  • To maintain health and safe working practices at all times.
  • To establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, colleagues and members.

Who we are looking for:

  • Someone with two years' minimum experience in sports maintenance.
  • A recognised qualification or wishes to attain one.
  • Operates to a very high-quality standard with an eye for detail.
  • A conscientious team player with the ability to multi-task.
  • A positive attitude and a can-do approach to work.
  • Good timekeeping and attendance record.
