About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a professional, dynamic and flexible Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate should be passionate about supporting young people in their learning, making learning fun, thinking on their feet and understanding the importance of play. Rodney House is an outstanding provision (Ofsted July 2023). All children have complex and/or significant learning needs as described in the individual Education Health and Care Plans.
Responsibilities
- Support children with complex and/or significant learning needs in a school setting.
- Implement specialist communication strategies to help children with special educational needs achieve their best.
- Maintain a confident and positive approach while supporting children.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working with children with special needs in a school setting is desirable.
- Commitment to safeguarding children and adherence to the school's safeguarding policy.
Additional Requirements
All posts are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check. The successful candidate will need to comply with the DBS Code of Practice in accordance with the relevant legislation.
