RES are currently looking for Commercial Electricity Meter Engineers to cover a wide range of commercial and industrial meter installations. We’re currently recruiting in the following areas: If you’re based in any of these areas, we’d love to hear from you.

The successful applicants will have relevant experience and knowledge of various metering wiring systems. Applicants must have relevant DNO authorisations and/or equivalent EUSR accreditation. Three phase whole current experience is essential for this role, as is a proven track record with a Meter Operator and/or DNO. LV CT accreditation is desirable. Experience in smart metering, AMR metering, DNO infrastructure installations and work on mobile mast sites would also be advantageous. Applicants must have a driving licence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Installing and maintaining electricity meters
  • Diagnosing and fixing faults on-site
  • Programming, reading and testing meters and related equipment
  • Inspecting meters and connections for defects or unauthorised connections
  • Completing job reports and paperwork accurately and on time
  • Managing your van stock to make sure you've got what you need
  • Carrying out regular vehicle checks

In return for this, we will offer an annual pay of £47,840 based on a standard 40 hour week. The role includes 25 days holiday and a workplace pension. A van and all tools, plant and equipment are supplied too. We have an ongoing training regime with the view to enhance all operatives' skillsets to further their suitability for the role.
