Our client, a UK based Asset Manager, is seeking an interim Sustainability Associate (2-5 years experience) to provide support during a period of team restructuring (could move to a permanent position). This role will bridge an immediate resource gap within their sustainable investment function, working closely with investment, sales, and product teams. The position is particularly focused on supporting GHG/climate disclosures, RFP responses, fund launches, and sustainability reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a secondee within the sustainability function, providing day-to-day support during team transition and leave cover.
- Lead the sustainability input for RFPs, DDQs, sales materials, and Annex 3 drafting for new fund launches (priority focus).
- Support delivery of the client's annual Sustainability Report, due for finalisation in April.
- Provide general ESG and sustainability advisory input to investment and product teams within a decentralised operating model.
- Provide light-touch technical support on GHG emissions, emissions methodologies, and use of carbon accounting platforms (e.g., Watershed).
- Collaborate with various teams across the business, recognising that teams operate independently and may engage support directly.
Requirements
- Strong experience in sustainability, ESG, responsible investment, or impact investment.
- Demonstrable experience preparing RFP content, Annex 3 materials, and supporting fund launches.
- Understanding of GHG emissions methodologies, even if not a technical specialist.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple stakeholders in a decentralised environment.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Immediately available or able to start on a light-touch basis before Christmas.
