What You’ll Be Doing
  • Hold oral health clinics in practices throughout the Yorkshire region
  • Deliver oral health prevention, education and promotion to patients and members of the public
  • Provide clinical preventative advice and interventions to targeted groups (e.g. caregivers for older people, ante‑natal groups, early years settings)
  • Provide integrated general and oral health advice and preventative treatments in line with treatment plans
  • Work with early years groups in general dental practice, including targeted brief interventions to meet individual needs
  • Assist dentists during a wide range of clinical procedures when required
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials
  • Uphold high standards of infection control and surgery cleanliness
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage administrative tasks
  • Contribute to creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for patients and the team
Skills and Attributes
  • Qualified and GDC‑registered Dental Nurse
  • Further qualification in Oral Health, either a 2‑year OHP Practitioner Course or completion of the Flexible Commissioning course through HEE (Max Course)
  • Confident and professional communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Comfortable working both chair‑side and in community/public health settings
  • A caring, compassionate approach towards patients and colleagues
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development
