Dental Receptionist
Johnson Dental, Blacon, Chester, CH1
Full time working 40 hours per week

As a Receptionist you are at the heart of your practice. You are the first point of contact for every customer. Welcoming them in, understanding how they are feeling, and making sure they have a great experience. You’ll know that first impressions count.
You’ll work side by side with every team member and build trust through your efficiency, accuracy, and people skills. You’ll be a great communicator. Able to talk clearly and calmly with every patient both in person and over the phone. And you’ll be able to handle any concerns and queries that patients have regarding the treatments on offer in the practice, including pricing and follow ups.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone
- Managing the diaries and making sure that the time is filled correctly
- Working with the team to understand the full range of NHS and Private treatment options available within the practice
- Completing relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within a specified timescale
- Taking payments and chasing outstanding patient debt
- Liaising with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations
Key Skills And Experience
- Ability to easily build rapport, and work to a high level of customer service
- Ability and passion to build your knowledge of treatment options within the dental sector – becoming an expert on what your practice has to offer!
- Passionate about driving the success of the practice by seizing opportunities
- Able to follow processes and work in a structured and organised way
- Comfortable working to practice KPIs (call answer rate, data capture and rebooking)
- IT skills with the ability to learn SOE software
- Positive nature – Able to show resilience and always work in a composed manner
- Strong attention to detail
