We’re seeking a flexible 0-hour Dental Nurse to cover practices across Northamptonshire, including: Harleston Road (essential Fridays, 8:30am–1:00pm), Victoria Promenade, Weston Favell, Woodview, Cedar Road, Dental Suite and The Elms.

As a Bank Dental Nurse working within our Emergency Dental Service, you’ll play a vital role in looking after every patient and supporting our dentists in delivering urgent care. With your knowledge of Private, NHS, and UDA treatments — alongside your understanding of GDC and other regulatory responsibilities — you’ll help set the highest standards for patients and the team, ensuring that exceptional care is provided even in the most critical situations.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Clinical Assistance – Support dentists during urgent procedures, prepare instruments, and help ensure patient comfort.
- Practice Management – Maintain dental equipment and uphold practice protocols and policies.
- Sterilisation and Infection Control – Lead on sterilisation and decontamination processes to create a safe, hygienic environment.
- Administrative and Reception Duties – Manage patient records, accounts, and other administrative tasks.
- Compliance – Assist the service manager in maintaining compliance with CQC standards and conduct surgery and emergency drug/equipment checks.
- Patient Care – Reassure patients, explain procedures, and address their concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Professional Development – Keep your CPD up to date in line with our company training matrix.
- Communication – Collaborate effectively with the dental team, patients, and other staff.
- Stock Control – Manage inventory of dental supplies, materials, and conduct stock takes.
