We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice dental nurse to join our friendly practice based in Salford. The role will involve providing chairside support and a high level of oral health care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist by providing chairside support, ensuring that the correct equipment and materials are available
- Provide support and assistance to a wide array of patients
- Follow practice health and safety and infection control procedures
- Keep clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and disinfected
- Accurately complete patient clinical records
- Complete all clinical daily, weekly and monthly logs and checks
- Set up and clean surgery, sterilise instruments and prepare instruments and materials for various treatments
- Update patient records and maintain equipment
- Adhere to practice policies and procedures
Training and Apprenticeship
- Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing (Level3) includes on‑job training, online learning and face‑to‑face training sessions
- Completion of a record of experience, written and practical exams
- Training delivered by Aspiration Training while supporting practice use of VR technology
- Learning will be supported during paid working hours
Training Outcome
- Qualified dental nurse with pathways to further training such as dental hygienist, dental therapist or dental cosmetics
- Opportunities for career progression into head nurse, team leader or practice manager
