Rodd Brudenell River Resort is currently seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our Culinary team. Set along the picturesque Brudenell River, our resort is known for its championship golf courses, scenic waterfront views, and exceptional dining and event experiences. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and inspiring environment that values creativity, quality, and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is passionate about pastry arts, with hands-on experience in both bread and dessert making. This role plays an important part in supporting our restaurants, weddings, and banquets, ensuring every guest enjoys high-quality and beautifully presented desserts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present a variety of pastries, breads, desserts, and baked goods to the highest standards
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications while maintaining consistency and quality
  • Operate and manage a pastry station independently
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Assist in menu development and seasonal dessert offerings
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to support overall kitchen operations
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering pastry ingredients as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 2–5 years of pastry experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant environment preferred
  • Solid foundation in baking techniques, including bread making and dessert production
  • Ability to work independently and manage a single station effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
