South Staffordshire College are looking for a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle Studies to join our team, teaching across a wide range of Level 1, 2 & 3 IMI programmes. The courses are a mixture of coursework and practical assessment, taking place in our purpose-built motor vehicle training workshops. We are seeking an innovative practitioner who can design engaging lessons and curriculum that inspire our learners.
Following agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures are an essential component of this work. A key aim is to ensure that students meet and exceed their target grades. We are looking for someone who holds a relevant professional qualification and who has industry experience within the Motor Vehicle repair industry. You may not be a lecturer at the moment but have a passion for passing on your knowledge.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to support, motivate and empathise with young learners, including monitoring their progress. With high personal standards and expectations, youβll have an awareness of quality standards and have the ability to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning. A teaching qualification is not essential; however, we do ask that you are willing to achieve one in line with current regulations.
