We are seeking an exceptional leader to join South Staffordshire College at a significant time. The College has recently completed its new campus at Tamworth and is now updating its property strategy which will shape the future of the College’s other campuses in Tamworth, Lichfield and Cannock as well as its land‑based campus at Rodbaston. There will be exciting changes to our estate over the next five years and you will be at the forefront of these changes.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the Deputy Principal Finance and Resources and as part of the College’s Senior Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with curriculum and support teams and work with external stakeholders such as contractors and local authorities.
  • Oversee all estates functions including caretaking, maintenance, cleaning, security and grounds maintenance, and manage the fisheries department at Rodbaston College.
  • Ensure statutory health and safety compliance in areas such as fire, water, gas, electric, asbestos and other building regulations.
  • Lead the College’s carbon reduction and energy efficiency agenda.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership experience with proven success in managing estates within the education sector.
  • Outstanding communication skills and deep knowledge of estates operations.
  • Track record of driving improvement and delivering measurable impact.
