Opportunity Rocky View Schools (RVS) is seeking an outstanding professional for a term part‑time (17.5 hrs/week) Supply Management Coordinator to join our dynamic team starting June 15, 2026 until December 15, 2027. This position will be located at the Education Centre in Airdrie.
Responsibilities
- Performs buying and purchase order processing for routine purchases and blanket orders
- Maintains the department electronic and physical filing systems
- Composes, or assists in composing RFP documentation and files
- Works collaboratively to select and follow appropriate procurement strategies and priorities
- Manages, administers and monitors contracts and agreements for service and support compliance and invoicing requirements
- Ensures timely invoices are issued against established Purchase Orders
- Tracks Certificate of Insurance, Workers Compensation Board, and vendor contract expiration dates
- Manages the receipt of staff mobile devices in conjunction with the Technology for Learning department
- Manages all incoming requests for repairs and on‑site service requirements
- Coordinates asset management in conjunction with the Asset/Warehouse Coordinator and provides warehouse support as required
- Dispatches and oversees the assigned contractors for facility repairs of furniture and equipment ensuring excellent customer service
- Assists with scheduling outside consultants or contractors for inspections and investigations as required for ergonomics, shops, fitness facilities throughout RVS
Education/Experience
- Diploma in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in office management or related field
- Procurement and Accounting experience is considered an asset
- Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
- An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered
Knowledge/Skills
- A solid understanding of accounting and budget tracking
- Proven ability to establish collaborative working relationships with internal and external clients
- Advanced organizational and prioritization skills
- Effective and efficient communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in the use of technology including software applications, data management systems, and advanced spreadsheet applications with high accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web‑based applications
