Role Summary
The Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth across London by expanding our market presence, developing new contractor partnerships, and strengthening existing relationships across the fire‑stopping, dry lining, and M&E sectors. You’ll operate in a fast‑paced, solutions‑led sales environment, ensuring our fire‑stopping products are the preferred choice for live site requirements through our established distribution network.
What you will be doing
- Strengthening and expanding relationships with specialist fire‑stopping contractors to drive loyalty and repeat business
- Identifying and engaging new contractor partners to grow our footprint across the London market
- Building trust‑based relationships with fire‑stopping, fire protection, dry lining, and M&E contractors to secure immediate orders
- Working closely with Merchant and Distribution Teams to manage stock, fulfilment, and pull‑through sales
- Collaborating with the Fire Specification Team to transition design‑stage leads into active sales opportunities
- Converting live project requirements into orders by focusing on fast‑moving, site‑driven commercial opportunities
- Using industry market intelligence to identify active projects early and intercept competitor activity
- Coordinating frequently with distributor partners to ensure availability, alignment, and strong local market presence
- Building high‑level trust with specialist contractors and local distributor partners to secure ongoing work
What you bring
- Previous experience in field sales/business development within fire‑stopping or fire protection
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT capability
- Full UK driving licence
- Established network and knowledge of London‑based fire‑stopping contractors
- IFE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft applications, and sales forecasting tools
- Skilled at building trust with site teams and procurement staff
- Results‑driven, proactive, and focused on securing revenue
