Job Title: Grade 1 – Logistics Operator
Location: We are seeking a Grade 1 – Logistics Operator to join our Logistics department at our Pencoed, Bridgend factory. This position will follow a 4 shift pattern (12 hour working).

What you will be doing:
Checking with the Process Controller at the start of the shift and at the end of each task (where appropriate) which warehouse function is required to be carried out
Following set procedures for scanning receipts in the Small Order Warehouse and the Hardstand
Following set procedures for shipments in both the Small Order Warehouse and the Hardstand
Ensuring loads are strapped in, according with Standard Operating Procedures and customer requirements
Correctly pick, stack, wrap and palletise pipes on pallets as per the pipe calculator.
Selecting and printing correct labels
Ensuring that all packs/pallets are labelled and the details on the label are correct
Carrying out full stock takes or Perpetual Stock takes when required, accurately counting and recording against the relevant product code
Operating a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) in accordance with factory operating instructions
Regularly inspecting FLTs for defects or wear and report these to the process controller or shift maintenance
Ensuring a level of performance to maintain any agreed performance targets
Maintaining good housekeeping standards in accordance with the 5S system of work
Complying with a safe method of working and reports any potential unsafe practices or hazards. Also adhere to relevant procedures to minimise the risk of fire
Receive and despatch the correct product in accordance with the warehouse operating procedures
Carrying out daily FLT inspections and render truck out of use if non-compliant with Safety Audit
Reporting any non-conformance with the Product or packaging to the Process Controller
