Location: Pencoed, South Wales
The successful candidate will work a 4 on – 4 off (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off) shift pattern, with seven rotations followed by 18 days off. The role is within the maintenance team, servicing mechanical machinery and production equipment at our Pencoed factory.

What you bring:
- Time served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
- Fault‑finding and problem‑solving capabilities
- Understanding of mechanical equipment, including conveyor systems, rollers, bearings, mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, piping systems etc.
- Capability to carry out reasonable MMA & MIG welding
- The ability to understand and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and other technical information
What you will be doing:
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on a range of equipment including conveyor systems, rollers, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics and piping systems
- Undertake mechanical repairs and respond quickly to minimise production downtime
- Conduct fault finding on a wide variety of mechanical systems
- Support the maintenance department with routine mechanical maintenance, inspections and repairs on a variety of equipment
- Document faults and rectification work details in SAP
- Carry out all maintenance tasks in line with and in accordance with all health and safety procedures
