About the role:
We are looking for a Planning Engineer to be responsible for building and sustaining a robust planning and scheduling process for maintenance activities to improve asset availability, reduce downtime, and control maintenance cost.

What you bring:
- Relevant qualification in an engineering discipline
- Previous experience within a maintenance or planning role
- Capability to use Maintenance Management Systems e.g. SAP
- Strong communications skills, both written and spoken
- Good understanding of reliability methodologies
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques
What you will be doing:
- Reviewing SAP notifications and work orders, ensuring clear scope definition, priority levels and technical detail
- Developing high-quality job plans with method steps, labour estimates, spares, tools, permits, and safety requirements
- Creating short, medium, and long term maintenance schedules aligned to asset criticality and site priorities
- Optimising schedule stability, minimising break-in work and supporting operational constraints
- Building detailed shutdown and down day plans collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Coordinating contractor work planning including scope, scheduling, permits, and integration into overall plans
- Monitoring shutdown execution and capturing lessons learned; identifying long-lead materials early
- Maintaining and improving SAP PM effectiveness through consistent work orders, task lists, and high-quality data
- Promoting standard planning processes minimum data standards, and lead times across the organisation
- Tracking and reporting planning KPI’s (schedule compliance, work readiness, backlog health, plan accuracy)
- Recommending and implementing planning process improvements and digital planning solutions to increase efficiency
- Ensuring all planning aligns with EHS standards, LOTO requirements, permits-to-work, and compliance obligations
