Location: We are seeking an Maintenance Electrician to join our busy maintenance team. This is a full-time permanent position at our factory in Pencoed, South Wales, and you will be working a Days regular pattern.

What you will be doing:

  • Carrying out the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment
  • Ensuring the electrical equipment within the job holder’s area of responsibility performs to targeted levels of reliability
  • Fault finding on electrical systems that include but not limited to Siemens PLC’s, SCADA Systems, AC/DC motors and frequency drives
  • Evaluating and modifying group and company standard electrical and process drawings and implementing improvements on electrical, mechanical and process issues
  • Using SAP plant maintenance system to deliver agreed planned maintenance programme
  • Occasionally covering the Shift Electrician’s when required
  • Working on a variety of engineering related projects in line with the maintenance strategy
  • Utilising problem solving techniques to identify the root cause of issues, and implementing corrective actions
  • Carrying out all responsibilities in line with the ROCKWOOL Way

What you bring:

  • Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (Minimum NVQ Level 3)
  • Experienced in maintenance, planned and reactive, of industrial machinery in a manufacturing, industrial or automated environment
  • Proactive and logical approach to problem solving
  • Experience and good understanding of AC/DC Motors and Frequency Drives
  • Familiar with Siemens PLC driven machinery
  • Experience with SCADA Packages (WinCC)
  • Good understanding of safety systems and equipment.
  • Good understanding of instrumental control
