Job Title: Facilities & Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Pencoed, South Wales

At our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pencoed, we transform volcanic rock into innovative, sustainable solutions that improve modern living and reduce environmental impact.
This role focuses on ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all factory facilities, including utilities, HVAC, lighting, structural systems, and essential services. It focuses on maintaining, upgrading, and optimising site infrastructure to support production and ensure compliance with standards.

What you bring

  • Technical qualification (Degree, HNC/HND) in Civil/Structural Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Building Services, or related engineering field
  • Experience in facilities engineering or building services within industrial/manufacturing environments
  • Understanding of building regulations, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Practical knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, site utilities, and building automation
  • Strong problem solving, contractor management, and communication abilities
  • Proficient in maintenance management software and IT systems (ideally SAP)

What you will be doing

  • Monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting building systems including HVAC, compressed air, water, gas, fire protection, and civil/structural elements
  • Conducting planned and reactive maintenance to maximise reliability and minimise downtime
  • Managing maintenance schedules, asset registers, and service records
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies
  • Supporting audits, inspections, and acting on findings
  • Liaising with compliance, HSE, and building management bodies
  • Delivering facility upgrades, improvement projects, and energy efficiency initiatives
  • Overseeing contractors, reviewing quotations, and ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Maintaining up-to-date inspection, maintenance, and compliance documentation
  • Producing facility condition reports with recommendations
  • Responding promptly to facility issues raised by site or production teams
