About the role:

We are looking for a talented Process Engineer to drive process enhancements, resolve production challenges, and support skills development across our operations. Reporting to the Process Manager, you will help ensure our manufacturing processes consistently achieve safety, efficiency, quality, and cost performance targets in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you bring:

  • Qualified to Degree level in engineering or manufacturing discipline
  • Experienced in the manufacturing industry
  • Previous experience of lean, CI & operational excellence
  • Strong analytical and data management skills

What you will be doing:

  • Contributing to the achievement of the factory’s safety, environmental, and sustainability targets by promoting safe working practices, meeting regulatory requirements, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contributing to successful completion of capex projects by specifying functional descriptions, being part of project teams and leading commissioning activities
  • Leading detailed investigations into production and process issues, carrying out root cause analysis, involving cross-functional teams, and delivering robust, lasting solutions
  • Planning, coordinating, and overseeing structured trials for materials, products, and processes, following Management of Change procedures and collaborating closely with stakeholders to optimise efficiency, quality, and consistency
  • Delivering measurable cost improvements by analysing Variable Production Costs (VPC), identifying opportunities for savings, and supporting the plant’s budgeting process with accurate, data-led input
  • Maintaining precise process settings, communicating operational changes effectively to stakeholders, updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a timely manner, and providing training to develop the skills and knowledge of production teams
  • Playing a key role in factory shutdown and downtime planning by identifying critical cleaning, maintenance, and upgrade requirements, assisting with the successful commissioning of new equipment, and implementing initiatives to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and productivity
