Your Future Team: Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will join a driven, collaborative team that is responsible for growing and maintaining sales and relationships with external stakeholders within your region. The focus of the role is to assist with introducing and embedding the Trade range product offering, growing sales and committed stockists.

What you will be doing:

  • Increasing sales for the area with both National and Independent Merchants as directed by the business
  • Account management responsibility for a select number of independent merchant accounts
  • Building interdependent and integrated relationships with external sales and regional stakeholders through proactive account management and regular contact
  • Account planning to effectively manage the area, utilising CRM and customer profiling / categorisation to prioritise activities
  • Developing and delivering training plans for the area to support regional sales plans agreed in conjunction with the relevant Merchant Sales Support and Regional Sales managers
  • Demonstrating the applications of ROCKWOOL ranges to externals sales and on-site to contractors through understanding and promoting the technical details of the ROCKWOOL product range and understanding current legislation and its effect on your business locally.
  • Ensuring the ROCKWOOL brand is well represented through joint promotions and incentives, local events and attending regional meetings
  • Arranging and attending merchant/contractor events such as Product Demonstration, Demonstration truck, Open days, Trade Days and exhibitions.
  • Project pricing and follow up leads generated by events, technical and trade advertising
  • Supporting stock incentives – maximise availability in branch
  • Generate demand through training, arranging CPD's and project tracking through CRM

What you bring:

  • Experience in the builders' merchant and/or insulation market
  • Strong professional written and spoken English, with confident presentation skills to influence buying decisions
  • Experience using Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems
  • Self‑driven, committed to personal development, and able to plan and organise own workload effectively
  • Customer-focused: works proactively with clients to identify needs and propose suitable solutions
  • Adapts communication and behavioural style to others, utilising problem‑solving skills to meet customer and business requirements
