Job Description
This Domain Expert ITD role will cover the UK and Ireland region.
The role will report to the UK & Ireland Intelligent Devices Manager and will technically support the sales of Rockwell Automation solutions, including industrial control and Motor Control Centre products and services.
You will work with prospective and existing customers together with the Rockwell Automation Account Manager and distribution sales teams, maintain long‑term business relationships, and drive profitable sustainable business growth across all Rockwell Automation businesses.
You will manage the presales technical support for the Industrial Control and Motor Control Centre business.
- Your Responsibilities
- Be the technical product expert and focal point in UK & Ireland for the Power Control Portfolio and IC components portfolio.
- Co‑operate with the sales team in promoting the product range to all customers with presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, performance tests and similar activities.
- Analyse competitor products, maintain knowledge of competitor strategy, and further define competitive differentiators.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars and similar marketing activities, offering demonstrations and product expertise with customers where needed.
- Support market access (Distributor and Systems Integrators) to ensure their capability in explaining the value and demonstration of RA products or technologies.
- Assist the Business Lead in launching new products to the sales team and channel.
- Validate and resolve compatibility issues of products within architectural solutions and provide guidance to both customers and the sales team.
- Update customers on new products and technology related to customers’ industry and application needs as a resource to the named account team.
- Invest time in self‑enablement and be passionate about learning Rockwell's offerings and solutions.
- The Essentials - You Will Have
- 4-5 years of sales experience in a technology‑based organization.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Background in Industrial Control, Power Control, Automation or Software.
- Ability to travel in the UK & Ireland (outside the office up to 70% of the week).
- Supporter of customer centricity, understanding the importance of demonstrating concern for satisfying customers, and passionate about developing goals to improve the customer experience.
- A valid UK driver’s licence.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
