Job Description
As a Lifecycle Sales Specialist you will play a pivotal role in promoting Rockwell Automation products, services or solutions. The focus of this job is making connections with people, motivating, and inspiring them to achieve results.
Initiating projects and processes beyond established organization practices will often require training and developing others and enlisting their support by using a \”selling\” rather \”telling\” communication style. An extroverted style that can enliven, engage and positively improve individuals and groups is important. The job has variety of tasks and is dynamic and changing. Because goals can quickly change, the job requires meeting and establishing relationships with new groups. The ability to understand, quickly react and motivate others to adapt to the changing organization environment is a critical factor.
This role could be based in Denmark, Sweden, the UK or Ireland and will report to the Team Leader Sales Specialist Lifecycle Services.
Your Responsibilities
- Achieve Rockwell Automation sales targets and meet business revenue plans for focused product, services or solutions using a discipline sales process within targeted accounts.
- Directly responsible for meeting quota by negotiating and bringing opportunities to closure while working with the broader matrixed Rockwell Automation sales teams.
- Manage an accurate sales forecast and pipeline of focused pursuits and other related solutions.
- Contribute to customer proposals and requests for information.
- Help develop project scope and Return on investment analysis. Use value selling techniques to measure project Return on investment and structure commercial deals accordingly.
- Use Global Sales & Marketing selling resources for target opportunity identification and access.
- Be the primary liaison between customers, regional sales team members and your department to ensure efficient communications and information flow from sales and pipeline development activities.
- Translate technical terms into everyday language and manage expectations, both internally and externally.
- Provide formal regular status reports to sales management which include forecast, pipeline and activity summary information.
- Monitor & report revenue and pipeline results weekly through CRM tool for assigned Products or Geographies to ensure performance goals are met.
- Develop business & financial knowledge of offering and its impact on potential business. Demonstrate understanding of main application, capability, industry and other new technology trends and their impact on decisions in assigned Vertical or Geography.
The Essentials – You Will Have
- 8+ years pre-sales, direct sales, or consulting experience.
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts, logistics, manufacturing flow and interaction with IT and manufacturing systems.
- Able to articulate value of larger Rockwell Automation application and technology, without the need to demonstrate individual products with hands-on demonstrations.
- Solution and application expertise, and related demonstrated sales experience.
- Fluency in native language and command of English (written & spoken).
- Ability to work with and gain confidence of senior level personnel (internal and external) in a highly collaborative, matrixed stakeholder organization.
- Complex issue resolution in creative and effective ways.
- Ability to align and influence critical stakeholders.
- Strong support of customer centricity. Understand the importance of demonstrating concern for satisfying customers.
- Passionate about developing goals to improve our customer experience.
- Set, be accountable for and achieve challenging targets.

- Adapt communication style and messaging to different audiences.
The Preferred – You Might Also Have
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in engineering, supply chain, computer science, manufacturing information technology or related discipline
