Band Leader Support – East Sussex & Kent

The salary: £26,500 per annum.

Are you an experienced Band Leader with a passion to support and develop people in teaching kids the Rocksteady way? Do you have a proven track record of outstanding teaching and building impact within your current job? Feeling ready to take responsibility for your team delivering the impact strategy in their area to empower more children to experience the benefits of Rocksteady?

This role will require frequent travel, so the successful Band Leader must be happy to work in a variety of locations and spend time on the road. They must be willing to spend a large amount of their time training staff members in and around their zone, plus be on call to support other areas where required.

The successful applicant will have patience with people at all levels of their Rocksteady journey. As Band Leader Support, the right candidate will be encouraging but also able to set and maintain quality standards. They must be able to be supportive but still have crucial performance conversations when necessary. The right person should already have a comprehensive understanding of the DNA of the Rocksteady teaching method and a passion to help the business reach as many children as possible without sacrificing quality. They must be someone who derives energy from helping people and developing trusting working relationships.

The Role

  • Support the development of Band Leaders in their area by delivering quality support sessions
  • Measure and monitor Band Leader performance on all levels using the Stages framework
  • Responsibility for delivering the impact strategy in your area to empower more children to experience the benefits of Rocksteady
  • Manage new Band Leader performance through their probation period
  • Responsible for ensuring Band Leaders are fully trained in all elements of the Band Leader role
  • Deliver verbal and written feedback on a frequent basis
  • Fuel card is provided for all business miles
  • Use data from Abbey Road and other sources to monitor and help improve the performance of a team of Band Leaders
