• Company Bonus Scheme: £1,500 per annum based on your performance & company performance
• OTE earnings for year 1: £32,500

• Transport: UK/EU Driving Licence and own transport is an essential requirement for the role

As a band leader you will:

• Teach groups of primary-age children in a fun, inspiring rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week
• Give children their first opportunity to learn an instrument – you’ll be teaching drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals
• Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders, the biggest team of like-minded musicians in the UK, with the support of our central teams too
• Be a rock and pop star role-model, empowering and supporting children in primary schools to deliver live performances at their end-of-term concerts
• Help children develop their self-belief, resilience and wellbeing through performing in a band
• Represent Rocksteady, building strong relationships with schools, teachers and parents
• Be prepared for highly active days and to spend time on the road driving between schools
• You’ll need to load and unload your band equipment, set-up and pack away in each location

As a band leader you’ll need:

• To be competent on at least two of the following instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals
• The enthusiasm to learn how to teach band lessons and complete our extensive training programme before you start your timetable
• The resilience to work in a role that provides some of your greatest moments and biggest challenges – often all in the same day!
• The confidence to be yourself at work, be proud of your uniqueness and communicate equally well with children, teachers and parents
• The integrity to always promote the safety and well-being of children and young people
• To be an organised, independent worker, with good time management and administration skills
• A UK/EU driving licence and your own transport
