Rocksteady Music School is the UK’s largest rock and pop school. We teach fun and inclusive in-school band lessons to primary age children. Our mission is simple: to amplify children’s self-belief and remove barriers to music education. We’re currently in thousands of schools in the UK, teaching over 120K children every week, and recently launched in Australia – and we’re growing fast.

We're now looking for a Schools Communication Champion to join our School Experience team in our Liphook office. As Schools Communication Champion you will be responsible for delivering high quality written communication across our network of partner schools that ensures they are kept informed of important information and feel supported and appreciated throughout their Rocksteady journey.

As a School Communication Champion you will:

  • Ensure all communications are accurate, relevant, timely and of the highest quality
  • Manage email data and sends in line with service level agreements (SLAs) and agreed schedules
  • Work closely with the wider School Experience department to understand school perceptions and motivations
  • Lead with empathy and champion the experience of our partner schools across all comms and interactions
  • Work within defined procedures to ensure smooth collaboration across teams
  • Actively look for opportunities to drive efficiencies, improve processes/systems and ensure that we provide the best possible support to our schools
  • Be accountable for KPI's and SLAs across the school comms function

As School Communication Champion you’ll need:

  • Exemplary written communication with the ability to write for varied audiences and purposes and a keen eye for detail
  • Experience in understanding complex customer challenges and clearly communicating solutions
  • Ability to prioritise multiple and varied tasks and remain agile in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a drive to do the best possible for our customers
  • Strong IT skills with experience of using excel, mail merge and Mailchimp preferable
  • To be a passionate advocate for child-centred music education
  • Strong working knowledge of education settings desirable but not a requirement
