We are recruiting on behalf of a highly ambitious and extremely successful travel business that is growing quickly and investing heavily in its people and infrastructure. This is a senior, hands-on finance role with full ownership of the day-to-day finance function. You’ll sit at the heart of the business, acting as the link between finance processing and the leadership team, bringing structure, clarity and confidence to financial operations. The role can be based remotely within the UK.
What will I be doing?
- Taking full responsibility for the finance function across the business
- Managing daily cash control, reconciliations and bank activity
- Overseeing client billing, receipts, credit control and supplier payments
- Ensuring accurate airline, BSP and transactional reporting
- Running month-end processes including accruals, reconciliations and reporting
- Managing payroll, PAYE, pensions and related submissions
- Ensuring VAT returns, statutory requirements and compliance are met
- Acting as the main point of contact for external accountants and advisors
- Improving processes and controls as the business continues to scale
What experience do I need?
- You will be a highly driven and motivated person looking for a business that you can help drive success in.
- Qualified or qualified-by-experience accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA preferred)
- Strong operational finance background with end-to-end ownership
- Travel Industry Experience preferred
- Experience working in a growing or fast-paced business
- Previous exposure to the travel industry is advantageous, but not essential
- Comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders and directors
- Highly organised, detail-focused and confident taking responsibility

- The role can be based remotely. It’s a full time position and will require you to attend meetings in London and Manchester when required
