This opportunity is working for a well-respected worldwide tour operator who have some incredible offices based in Surrey. They have been offering a wide range of inspiring holiday and school trip programmes for over 38 years. You will join the Education department which is the UK leader in geography school trips abroad and are the only provider to be partnered with the Geographical Association. The team includes experienced ex-teachers and travel specialists, all experts in the destinations that they sell.

What will I be doing?

  • You will be working with teachers to ensure their pupils get the full benefit of educational travel and the opportunity to learn outside the classroom.
  • Field a wide range of enquiries over the telephone, email and occasionally face to face.
  • Provide expert destination and subject matter advice and general guidance to customers to assist them with their booking.
  • Maintain an excellent degree of knowledge on the regions and products you are selling.
  • Progressing and administering enquiries from quote to confirmed booking on the reservations system, ensuring the customer is fully informed and supported throughout the booking process.

What experience do I need?

  • You will ideally have at least 2 years’ experience of Sales in a similar role or have gained experience as a geography/humanities teacher and looking for a change of direction.
  • You will have strong customer service, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • You must have a good level of numeracy, good attention to detail and excellent spoken and written English.

What else do I need to know?

  • This is a hybrid role where you will spend 2 days in the wonderful office in Surrey and 3 days working from home.
  • You will be working Monday to Friday with occasional need to cover the out of hours emergency phone for which you will receive extra remuneration.
  • Salary is paying £30k plus bonus scheme and a great benefits package.
