This opportunity is working for a well-respected worldwide tour operator with offices based in Surrey. They have been offering a wide range of inspiring holiday and school trip programmes for over 38 years. Join the Education department β the UK leader in geography school trips abroad and the only provider partnered with the Geographical Association.
Responsibilities:
- Work with teachers to ensure pupils get full benefit of educational travel and outside-classroom learning.
- Field inquiries over the telephone, email and occasionally face-to-face.
- Provide expert destination and subject-matter advice and general guidance to customers to assist with booking.
- Maintain knowledge of regions and products.
- Progress and administer enquiries from quote to confirmed booking on the reservation system.
- Ensure the customer is fully informed and supported throughout the booking process.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of sales experience in a similar role or experience as a geography/humanities teacher seeking a change of direction.
- Strong customer-service, influencing and negotiating skills.
- Good numeracy, attention to detail, and excellent spoken and written English.
Hybrid role: 2 days in the Surrey office and 3 days working from home. Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours emergency phone coverage with extra remuneration. Salary: Β£30k + excellent bonus and benefits package.
