We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established travel business that is looking to add an experienced Business Travel Consultant to its team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied role, building complex itineraries and providing excellent customer service, while being part of a friendly and supportive team. The role is primarily focused on corporate travel, although there will also be some involvement in supporting the company's leisure travel brand when required.

The client would ideally like someone to work part time (around 3 days per week, including Fridays), although they would also consider a full-time candidate for the right person.

What will I be doing?
  • Booking and managing worldwide business travel arrangements including flights, hotels, rail and car hire
  • Creating complex itineraries using Galileo GDS
  • Providing a high level of service and support before, during and after travel
  • Managing amendments, schedule changes and travel disruptions
  • Working closely with a portfolio of business travel clients across a range of sectors
  • Assisting with GDS queue management and providing occasional support to the company's leisure travel division
  • Ensuring bookings are accurate, cost-effective and meet client requirements
  • Building strong relationships with travellers and clients through exceptional service
What experience do I need?
  • Previous business travel consulting experience
  • Strong Galileo GDS skills are essential
  • Good fares and ticketing knowledge
  • Experience booking complex worldwide itineraries
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently whilst also being a supportive team member
  • Confident using travel technology and supplier systems
What else do I need to know?
  • Salary circa £32,500 full-time equivalent
  • Part-time preferred (approximately 3 days per week including Fridays)
  • Full-time applicants will also be considered
  • Hybrid working preferred with some time spent in their Hertfordshire office
  • Fully remote working may be considered for the right person
