Travel Technology Support Consultant
This is not a straightforward reservations role, and it is not a pure tech role either. It sits somewhere in between, so it is a great next step for someone with strong Sabre skills who loves solving problems and fancies something a bit different without leaving travel.
This corporate travel management company's clients are booking online more and more. They are looking for an experienced travel consultant to be the person those clients, and their own consultants, turn to when a booking gets tricky.
Travel Technology Support Consultant
What will I be doing?
- Helping clients and the internal consultants when they get stuck in the online booking tool, by phone and email
- Sorting out the trickier bookings, such as multi-sector trips, plus ticketing, refunds and changes
- Making sure each client's travel policy and booking set-up is right
- Looking after your own group of online clients and checking in with them regularly to help them get more from the tools
- Helping new clients get started, including testing and training their bookers
- Working with the technology suppliers to fix problems and suggest improvements
What experience do I need?
- Strong Sabre is a must. There is a Sabre test as part of the process
- You will be an experienced Business Travel Consultant
- Experience of at least one online booking tool. Any will do, as they all work in a similar way
- A client-facing background in corporate travel
- Clear, confident communication, on the phone and in writing
- A calm, organised approach and a real eye for detail
- An interest in technology and making things easier for clients
What else do I need to know?
Up to Β£35,000 depending on experience, plus a company bonus
Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours a week
Work from home anywhere in the UK, as long as you can get to the London office once or twice a month
If you know Sabre inside out and you are the one everyone asks when a booking won't behave, we would love to hear from you.
