Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking for a challenging opportunity to be part of a leading multi-million-pound organisation where you can work on a range of exciting projects?

Owing to the continued expansion of our clients Defence and Energy businesses, we are looking to recruit a number of Commercial Managers to join their fast-growing teams. As a Commercial Manager you will demonstrate a passion to work collaboratively within our client teams to manage their complex projects.

What you will contribute to the team;

  • Ability to develop contracting and procurement plans;
  • Preparing tender and contract documentation;
  • Managing tender processes;
  • Managing contracts, including contractual obligations;
  • Negotiating with Industry including pricing negotiations, contract terms, risk and reward as well as establishing Intellectual Property Rights;
  • Developing commercial governance procedures, processes and systems;
  • Managing eSourcing and/or eEvaluation systems;
  • Providing administrative duties on contracts and procurement processes for client team;
  • Adhering to appropriate Public Procurement Regulations;
  • Working effectively with stakeholders, inside and outside of client organisation, to ensure successful outcomes and wider team deliverables;
  • Develop and supervise commercial staff and sharing knowledge and expertise.

We are looking for people who can demonstrate the following:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent;
  • Professional Membership (or working towards professional membership) with an applicable professional organisation;
  • Must have existing or be eligible for security clearance (SC or higher) and hold a UK passport;
  • Proven track record in commercial delivery, in defence or energy (preferred) or other sectors;
  • Good knowledge and application of commercial management methodologies, including NEC4 and NEC3;
  • Ability to operate both autonomously and as part of a larger team;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organisation skills;
  • Flexibility to travel and work in different sectors and clients.

Preferred, but not required

  • Good research and analytical skills;
  • Essential Soft skills include, leadership, flexibility, self-motivation, effective listening, persuasion, creativity, collaborative style, insightfulness;
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft applications;
  • Working knowledge of commercial management software and tools.
