Hours: Fulltime & Part Time hours available – including weekends

Job Purpose: To ensure that your allocated section operates in a safe, hygienic and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities of the Kitchen Porter:

  • Adhere to all guidelines for correct chemical usage and dosage.
  • Minimise and control breakages by taking care and consideration of crockery and mechanical equipment.
  • Willingly attend job chats and training sessions as directed by senior team members.
  • Be able to work as a team, communicating effectively at all levels and be able to follow company procedures correctly and willingly.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, being prepared to work in another of the resort’s kitchens when business demands.
  • Be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all areas allocated to you, ensuring that they are properly cleaned down at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure all dishes and kitchen equipment are cleaned, floors mopped, lifts and bins emptied and the dishwasher is cleaned and drained.
  • Ensure all crockery, cutlery, pans, tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and stored in the correct place.
  • Undertake general cleaning duties as stated on cleaning rotas and by senior members of staff.
  • Ensure all dirty laundry is taken to Housekeeping daily.
  • Be able to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure, to willingly undertake any tasks requested by senior team members.
  • Ensure that all legal legislations are adhered to regarding health & safety, food hygiene and fire safety regulations.
  • Adhere to the instructions of equipment for which you are responsible.
  • Maintain a high standard of good personal hygiene and grooming in line with the company’s policy.
