  • Responsible for: Bartenders, Barbacks and Bar Support Staff (during allocated shifts)

Job Purpose

We’re looking for an experienced Bar Supervisor to support the management team in delivering exceptional, high-energy bar service during evening operations.

This role is hands on and service-led, with responsibility for supervising the bar during shifts and supporting the team to deliver fast, polished, and engaging guest experiences.

Key responsibilities of the Bar Supervisor

  • Ensure the bar is fully prepared, well organised, and service-ready
  • Support smooth service flow during peak periods
  • Ensure correct use of POS, tills, and payment procedures
  • Communicate effectively with floor and cocktail service teams
  • Supervise bartenders and bar support staff during service
  • Allocate duties clearly to meet service and volume demands
  • Lead by example in pace, professionalism, and service standards
  • Support new team members through on-the-job guidance
  • Maintain strong communication behind the bar
  • Deliver confident, engaging, and professional bar service
  • Maintain a visible presence behind the bar, interacting with guests
  • Manage guest feedback calmly and positively
  • Ensure the bar area remains clean, organised, and welcoming
  • Uphold licensing laws and responsible alcohol service
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised bar environment
  • Handle all information responsibly and confidentially
