Fixed-Term Maternity Cover | Circa January 2027 for 12 Months Fixed Term

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 5-days per week including flexibility for weekends

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Spa to join Rockliffe on a fixed-term maternity cover contract, anticipated to commence around January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead of our award-winning spa and leisure facility operation within a five-star resort, overseeing the complete guest and member journey while inspiring a talented, multi-skilled team.

Our Head of Spa plays a pivotal role in ensuring we continue to deliver an exceptional five-star experience, while driving the commercial performance of the Spa across treatments, spa days, gym and leisure memberships and retail.

The Role:

As Head of Spa, you will take overall responsibility for the successful day-to-day operation and commercial performance of the Spa and leisure membership.

Leading our Spa management team and wider operation, including treatments, guest services, reception, boutique, Spa operations and gym teams, you will provide visible and inspirational leadership while ensuring the highest standards are delivered consistently.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and inspire the Spa team to deliver an exceptional five-star guest experience.
• Drive commercial performance across treatments, spa days, memberships and retail.
• Manage budgets, payroll, forecasts and costs to achieve commercial targets.
• Maximise treatment room occupancy, revenue, performance and supporting transformation through a period of change and capital investment projects.
• Develop, coach and support the team, creating a positive, high-performing culture.
• Maintain outstanding treatment, service and presentation standards throughout the Spa.
• Be a visible, hands‑on inspirational leader with a passion for continually improving the guest and member experience.
• Work closely with Commercial and Marketing teams to develop engaging promotions and activity.
• Use guest feedback and performance insights to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

We are looking for an experienced Spa leader who can confidently balance exceptional guest experience, people leadership and commercial performance. What We’re Looking For;

• Senior leadership experience within a luxury Spa environment.
• Previous resort, leisure, spa package and treatment lead guest experience offering and a strong understanding of Spa operations.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of driving revenue and performance.
• An inspiring, hands‑on leadership style with a passion for developing great teams.
• A genuine commitment to exceptional service and memorable guest experiences.
• A collaborative, proactive approach with the confidence to drive high standards and make things happen.
