Hours: 07:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday (with occasional overtime)

About Us: Based in Oundle, Rockleigh Ltd is a professional tree surgery company. We pride ourselves on efficiency, professionalism, and strict safety standards. We are looking for an organised individual to anchor our depot operations and keep our field teams running smoothly.

About the Role: We are looking for a reliable, safety-first Workshop Manager to head up our equipment maintenance and daily depot operations. You will be the backbone of our field operations, making sure our tree surgery crews leave the yard safely and legally every morning and return with everything fully accounted for at the end of the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Handover: Oversee the morning dispatch and evening return of crews, ensuring load-outs are secure, legal, and that all kit is safely tracked and accounted for.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Service, fix, and maintain our full suite of machinery, ranging from small hand tools and chainsaws up to wood chippers and MEWPs.
  • HSE Compliance: Keep meticulous logs of all inspections, services, and repairs in strict alignment with HSE regulations.
  • Mobile Support: Conduct urgent mobile field repairs when equipment breakdowns occur on-site to keep crews moving.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven mechanical experience working with two-stroke engines, hydraulics, or agricultural/arb plant machinery.
  • A highly organised individual who respects processes and regulatory paperwork.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential for emergency call-outs).
