What You’ll Do
- Engage in consultative conversations with valued customers to build rapport and expand relationships, ensuring that they trust you to find the solutions to their financial needs.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to maximize customer engagement and sales opportunities, and to find solutions to the financial needs of customers.
- Accurately and professionally process all traditional customer transactions within established guidelines and authority including check cashing, withdrawals, and deposits for both consumer and business customers.
- Answer routine and more complex questions on customer accounts, products, services, policies and procedures; troubleshoot customer issues and provide follow through to ensure resolution.
- Create innovative customer touch points through daily digital outreach and deliver a cohesive customer experience across all customer platforms, both traditional and digital.
- Generate sales excitement around target events by acting as a role model, coach, and mentor to branch staff.
- Proactively cross-sell bank deposit and loan products and services to existing and new customers by utilizing a needs-based consultative approach.
- Leverage technology and both internal and external digital channels to service customers and expand customer relationships.
- Use knowledge of laws and regulations to accept loan applications, including Home Equity.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships, with both customers and colleagues.
- Utilize the Salesforce platform for customer interactions, conversations, and follow-up.
- Collaborate with Branch Manager to develop and maintain a culture of strong lobby management and customer outreach efforts, aiming to enhance the customer experience both inside and outside of the branch.
- Understand and adhere to operational, regulatory and security policies and procedures while balancing customer relationships and risk of loss to the Bank
- Assume responsibility for additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 2-4 years of successful experience in a sales and service environment such as retail, hospitality, or financial services.
- Must be or become a Notary Public and NMLS certified.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with ability to operate a wide variety of equipment and mobile devices.
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong sales orientation with ability to balance multiple priorities and ability to adapt approach to different situations as needed.
- Ability to work intuitively and find creative solutions should any problems arise.
- Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing inside and outside of a branch environment and continuous customer contact.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.
- Ability to successfully complete our training program.
