We're looking for dedicated, resilient and compassionate Bank Residential Children's Care Workers to join our team. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work around existing commitments whilst making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people.

Working with children and young people aged 9-17 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, you will help provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment where children can develop confidence, independence and the skills they need to thrive. You'll be more than a care worker. You'll be a mentor, role model and trusted adult, helping children and young people feel valued, supported and encouraged to reach their potential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing day-to-day care and support within a safe and nurturing home environment
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
  • Supporting young people with daily routines, education and personal development
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and life skills
  • Supporting children through challenges and promoting positive behaviour
  • Working as part of a team to provide consistent, child-centred care
  • Supporting young people to take part in activities, hobbies and experiences that enrich their lives
  • Promoting the voice, wishes and feelings of children and young people
  • Contributing to the creation of positive experiences and memorable moments

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children and young people with complex needs and/or mental health needs
  • A caring, empathetic and child-centred approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Resilience, patience and a positive attitude
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • A genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
