Our client is a well-established, fast growing European market leading specialist supplier of sustainable manufacturing services, with a 40-year proven track record, partnering major OEMs, such as Ford, GM and many others. They are an entrepreneurial business/management team, who, due to on-going expansion both within core business and a broader market place, are committed to driving continuous improvement and strategic development throughout the business.
In this role of Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and strengthening the quality expertise throughout the NPI APQP process, developing and continuously improving the quality and environmental management systems. With your desire to achieve targets and exceed standards, you will advise the manufacturing team on the best quality standards to follow for their core products, including preparation of PPAP documentation for new and existing product ranges.
To ensure that the quality function is driven through all departments within the business, you will use your excellent communication skills to support not only the manufacturing team, but the commercial and product engineering teams on their NPI products.
As a Senior Quality Engineer you will have the below skills:
- Experience within the automotive (or the quality led environments, Aerospace, Medical etc.) sector, in a manufacturing or quality capacity
- Experience within a highly regulated IATF16949 or Q1 company would be a preference
- Knowledge or an understanding of automotive core tools, such as APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, Standard Ops, 8D, ISIR and PPAP etc
- Trained in auditing
- Experience within EFACSs or a similar ERP system
