They’re highly design led, developing, driving and utilising cutting edge practices and technologies. As a thought leader in the sector, they evolve and push the boundaries of design, delivery and customer service, as a norm.

They are a small to medium sized enterprise (SME), yet well-established and highly regarded across their industry. They have enjoyed successive years of growth and expect this to accelerate, with plans to more than triple in size, over the next three years.

In line with this growth, they seek to appoint a Qualified Accountant as their first Head of Finance. The role will be the number one in finance, responsible for proactively supporting the growth, driving improvement in processes, delivering greater insight and embracing the ongoing use of new technology.

Initially the role will be hands on, working closely with the MD and Operational Managers and leading your small team but, in line with the growth, the role will grow, as will your team. In time, it is expected that, for the right person, the role will become Financial Director. In the not too distant future, it is envisaged that Senior Management will be invited to participate in share ownership and, this role will be integral in developing this and will participate too.

The role takes responsibility for the day to day accounting activity as well as for production of management and statutory accounts. You will have a keen commercial focus and the ability to communicate effectively with non-accounting members of the team. You will be a natural leader, with demonstrable experience of having mentored and developed members of your team. You should be IT savvy, motivated by improving the use of technology to achieve greater efficiency and to support the business with more timely and insightful information.

The company has a modern approach to employment, relaxed, friendly, open minded and fun, yet highly professional.
