The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, “Do-it-Different\", and well-spoken Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. This position will exclusively be responsible for driving both inbound and outbound sales for the APG Companies Software product lines. This Sales Representative will be responsible for subscribing new leads and current customers via email, warm calling expired customers, suggesting product enhancements, and meeting monthly sales goals. You should be able to close sales and meet targets. To be successful as a Sales Development Representative one should be able to build instant rapport and achieve high customer satisfaction with both existing pilots and prospective customers. A top inside sales representative should also be very competitive and a good listener. Able to adapt and execute on tasks from all areas of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers, make outbound calls to potential customers, and follow up on leads
  • Understand customers\' needs and identify sales opportunities resulting in adding to the subscriber base or upselling
  • Answer potential customers\' questions and send additional information per email and follow up to secure the subscription
  • Keep up with product and service information and updates
  • Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers
  • Explain and demonstrate features of products and services
  • Stay informed about competing products and services
  • Familiar with Tradeshows and Events with the ability to travel as needed
  • Upsell products and services to existing subscriber base
  • Research and qualify new leads
  • Close sales and achieve or exceed sales targets
  • Other duties as assigned

Required experience and Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Business, Aviation School, Marketing preferred
  • Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Salesforce CRM software
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Salesforce Support Cloud, and other ticketing systems a plus.
  • Given a complex issue, can identify and execute solutions while distributing tasks equally among team members
  • Able to identify key opportunities of improvement and drive implementation of the process
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Excellent phone and cold/warm calling skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong listening and sales skills
  • Ability to achieve sales targets
