Fixed term contract - 1st July 2026 - 15th October 2027. Reporting to the CEO, the role of the Finance Manager is to manage the day to day running of the company finances. This includes maintaining accurate records for all transactions, preparing monthly reconciliations and schedules, managing the sales ledger and processing payroll and payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Co‑ordinating with the wider team and suppliers to obtain receipts and purchase invoices and reconciling all bank accounts in a timely manner.
- Reviewing the purchase ledger, creating payment runs on a bi‑weekly basis.
- Running the monthly sales invoicing meeting and raising invoices in accordance with customer contracts, with input from the CEO and project managers.
- Manage credit control processes, ensuring invoices are settled in a timely manner.
- Reviewing all P&L and Balance Sheet codes monthly, completion of postings and finalising figures for the management accounts, including the relevant schedules and reconciliations.
- Running payroll, with input from the CEO.
- Acting as a “finger on the pulse” on the company finances, escalating and advising on issues as they arise and ensuring the directors remain well informed in relation to financial matters.
- Working with Xero and company budgets to undertake ad‑hoc analysis and reporting as needed, providing accurate and analytical insight.
- Supporting wider team, being a first port of call for finance queries from clients, suppliers and team members.
- Monitor and manage cash levels within the business.
- Social, environmental data protection, and health & safety compliance.

Essential
- Demonstrable experience of working in a finance leadership position.
- Qualified accountant (minimum AAT L4) with post qualification experience.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, and Xero accounting software package.
- Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets or MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and charts using financial functions, organising and analysing data).
- Thorough understanding of bookkeeping and accounting procedures, strong financial controls experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
- Ability to ensure confidentiality.
Nice to have
- Experience working with Harvest timesheet management software.
- Knowledge of corporate financial law.
- Experience working in an agency environment.
