We are ideally looking for someone who is comfortable working on all kinds of projects, cutting across domain and scale. You should be a motivated self-starter capable of working as part of a small team but also driving a project forward on your own when necessary, being responsible for the quality of your own delivery. You will always be supported by the team, but we value innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
At Rocketmakers, our priority is to find the right crew member to join us. Working at the forefront of technology means we do not expect you to know or have used all of our tech stack – we know that next year the technology landscape will be different! That said, it’s great if you already have experience with some of them, especially those in your preferred area of the development stack.

We are owned and run by Richard and Keith, who both come from a software engineering and architecture background and set up the business to be the kind of place they would want to work in. We have grown responsibly and have remained profitable since day one. Our HQ is based in central Bath, and we are actively involved in the Bristol and Bath tech community, sponsoring local organisations and events. We also like to share our love of tech with schools to encourage the next generation of coders from all backgrounds.
Salary is dependent on experience and ranges from £25,000 to £35,000 for junior level and £35,000 to £50,000 for mid-level roles. We believe we do our best work in person, so we are looking for applicants who would be willing to be in our Bath office at least 2 days a week. That said, we completely support agile and flexible working, allowing you to flex your start and finish time around your family needs.
