About the Role
We're looking for an Engineering Lead to own the technical execution of our FX Options Platform — a fast-moving, AI-native trading system where frontend, middleware, and intelligent agents all converge. This is a hands‑on leadership role: you'll be writing production code, shaping architecture, and setting the bar for how we build AI-powered financial products at Rocketfin.
Location & Employment
London, UK – Full‑time – Senior / Lead
What You'll Do
- Lead engineering execution end-to-end — from scoping and architecture through to shipping production‑grade systems at pace.
- Build AI-native product experiences — designing UX and systems that put Claude and LLMs at the core, not the periphery.
- Architect middleware and orchestration layers — the connective tissue that links frontend, AI systems, and financial data flows.
- Work hands‑on with agents and AI workflows — building, iterating, and owning agentic systems in production.
- Move fast and ship high‑quality systems — balancing speed with craft in a trading environment where reliability and precision matter.
Core Stack
- TypeScript
- React
- Python
- Claude / LLM-native development
What We're Looking For
- You're genuinely AI‑forward — not just someone who uses LLMs as a feature, but someone who thinks in agent workflows, orchestration patterns, and AI-native UX.
- You operate comfortably across the full stack and take pride in systems that are both fast and well‑crafted.
- You've led engineers (or are ready to), and you bring clarity and momentum to a team.
Nice to Have
- Agentic systems — experience building and running agents in production
- Streaming AI UX — designing real‑time, streaming AI experiences
- MCP ecosystems — familiarity with Model Context Protocol tooling
- Frontend design systems — component libraries and design systems at scale
- Financial products / trading / FX — options, FX, or trading platform experience
