The Senior Advertising Manager is the strategic owner of integrated advertising performance and advertising team coordination. You will guide and oversee paid media activities across our e-commerce clients who sell direct and on Amazon - creating plans, overseeing execution, and aligning expectations with clear, data-backed narratives. You’ll work closely with and report to our Director of Growth Services, lead a small advertising team, and work directly with clients in an active role leading larger accounts and a supporting/oversight role for smaller accounts.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the Growth Team to develop full-funnel, audience-aware and messaging-aware advertising plans across Google (Search/Shopping/YouTube/PMAX), Amazon/retail media, and social media channels like Meta, TikTok, and others as needed.
- Translate client goals into tactical budget allocations, flighting, and testing roadmaps with clear go/no-go criteria.
- Design “Scenario A/B/C” annual plans based on client goals tied to merchandise mix, seasonality, and expected constraints.
- Keep a pulse of active advertising activities, performance trends, and changes in order to:
- Help adapt to challenges (like ad spend changes, unexpected product sales performance)
- Bring a bigger-picture lens to make sure advertising tactics stay aligned with client goals
- Identify opportunities for growth, performance gains, or new testing
- Maintain a high standard of quality for campaign builds, optimization, and expansions.

What Success Looks Like the first 30/60/90 days
- 30 days: Audit top accounts and advertising plans/roadmaps to understand the current landscape, identify any gaps, and share recommendations for improvement.
- 60 days: Implement first advertising initiatives (improvements, new testing/optimization, etc.) and be fully integrated in strategy, planning, and reporting.
- 90 days: Demonstrable lift against targets (efficiency or revenue), scenario plans locked for each client, and team operating to plans and systems.
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years in performance media for eCommerce/DTC with direct ownership of spend and targets.
- Proven media planning chops with hands-on experience building and managing campaigns in Meta, Google, and Amazon.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to flow between strategy and tactical execution with ease.
- Strong communicator who can turn numbers into narratives and set expectations with clarity.
- Able to effectively manage clients, proactively solve problems, and both identify and delegate what needs to be done today to achieve tomorrow’s goals.
- Experience managing people or leading small teams.
- Strong data analytics skills and advanced professional experience using Excel/Google Sheets.
- Obsessive about details, QA, and follow-through.
- Comfortable designing tests, reading results (GA4/ads platforms), and making decisive calls.
- Fluent in eCommerce efficiency metrics (contribution margin, TACOS, MER/blended ROAS, LTV:CAC), with the ability to set channel goals that ladder up to total media targets.

- Feed management (Feedonomics/DataFeedWatch), GMC troubleshooting, and catalog hygiene.
- Familiarity with retail calendars, launches, and seasonal playbooks.
