The opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor to join our busy Civil Litigation department. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of corporate and private client civil and commercial litigation matters, working with a high degree of autonomy and playing an active role in the continued development of the department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters from instruction through to resolution
  • Advise corporate and private clients on contentious matters including breach of contract, debt recovery, and commercial disputes
  • Draft and settle pleadings, witness statements, applications, and correspondence
  • Represent clients at hearings, CMCs, and in advocacy before the courts
  • Supervise and mentor junior fee earners within the team
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a minimum of 5–6 years PQE in civil and/or commercial litigation
  • Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and court processes
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Proven ability to manage a complex caseload independently and to tight deadlines
  • Confident communicator with strong client care skills
