Location: Field-Based (Regional Coverage)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am‑5:00pm + Occasional Saturdays

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join a growing and well-established materials handling business. This is a field‑based position where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing forklift trucks at customer sites across your designated region. Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain and repair a wide range of forklift trucks (diesel, LPG, and electric).
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
  • Attend breakdowns and respond to emergency call‑outs.
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service while on‑site.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience as a forklift engineer, plant engineer, or field service engineer.
  • Strong fault‑finding skills (mechanical, electrical & hydraulic).
  • Experience working with brands such as Toyota Material Handling, Linde Material Handling, Jungheinrich, Hyster, or Yale is desirable.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance / Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Have your own tools.
